DuxNet launches Premium Wi-Fi 6 Access Points with built-in cloud management

Tobie van Schalkwyk, Business Development Manager at Duxbury

Johannesburg 8 July 2026 – DuxNet, the in-house brand of Duxbury Networking, has launched the DuxNet Premium Access Point range, extending its cloud-managed networking portfolio from switching to wireless connectivity for South African SMBs, resellers, and multi-site organisations.

The new DuxNet Premium Access Points bring Wi-Fi 6 performance, indoor and outdoor deployment options, mesh capability, PoE support, and built-in DuxNet Cloud management into a single wireless range. The launch follows the introduction of DuxNet Premium Switches and strengthens DuxNet’s move towards platform-led networking, where customers can manage the network centrally instead of supporting each device in isolation.

South African businesses increasingly depend on wireless networks for everyday operations, from customer access and payment systems to cloud applications, mobile devices, cameras, warehouse scanners, and hybrid work. Yet many SMBs and branch-heavy organisations still struggle with fragmented wireless management, uneven coverage, and limited visibility once devices are installed.

The DuxNet Premium Access Point range is designed to close that gap by giving customers and resellers centralised configuration, monitoring, and management through DuxNet Cloud, without the need for additional controllers or licences.

“The pressure on wireless networks has changed,” says Tobie van Schalkwyk, Business Development Manager at Duxbury. “Customers do not only need access points that provide coverage. They need wireless environments that can be deployed quickly, monitored centrally, and properly supported across one or more sites. The Premium Access Point range gives resellers a practical way to deliver that level of control without introducing unnecessary overhead for the customer.”

The range includes ceiling-mounted indoor models and outdoor access points, giving resellers flexibility across different deployment scenarios. All models support mesh, helping extend wireless coverage where cabling is difficult, expensive, or disruptive.

Wi-Fi 6 support improves efficiency and reliability across modern, device-heavy networks, while selected models include 2.5GbE WAN capability for environments that require higher uplink performance. The access points can be managed through the Web GUI, controller, or DuxNet Cloud, giving customers flexibility based on the maturity and scale of the deployment.

The range includes four models: the DUX610CAP and DUX625CAP ceiling-mounted indoor access points, and the DUX610APO and DUX625APO outdoor models. All four support 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, with maximum access rates of up to 574Mbps on 2.4GHz and up to 2402Mbps on 5GHz, PoE power, mesh capability, and operating temperatures from -20°C to 55°C. The DUX625CAP and DUX625APO add 2.5GbE WAN uplink for environments that require higher uplink performance. Access points can be managed through the Web GUI, a controller, or DuxNet Cloud.

According to Van Schalkwyk, the launch is especially relevant for resellers supporting customers who need reliable wireless without large internal IT teams.

“For resellers, the commercial value sits in easier deployment, centralised visibility, and faster support. If a customer has multiple sites, the ability to view device health, client activity, and network performance from one platform changes the support conversation. It reduces guesswork and helps resellers move from reactive troubleshooting to more proactive service.”

The launch also creates a more complete DuxNet Premium networking story by combining cloud-enabled switching and wireless access under a single, broader management approach. This gives resellers a clearer path to position DuxNet for customers who want to modernise their networks gradually, starting with switching, wireless, or both.
