ORCA Fuel Solutions and VERIDAPT Bring Total Fuel Management Solution to Mining Indaba 2026

Orca Fuel Solutions and VERIDAPT will showcase an integrated fuel management system for mining at Investing in African Mining Indaba 2026.

CAPE TOWN / SYDNEY, January 19, 2026 — Orca Fuel Solutions and VERIDAPT will jointly showcase their integrated fuel management solution at Investing in African Mining Indaba 2026, highlighting how their partnership delivers smarter, more secure, and ESG-aligned fuel management for the African mining sector.

Mining Indaba 2026 takes place 9–12 February 2026 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) under the theme “Stronger Together: Progress Through Partnerships,” reflecting the growing importance of collaboration in addressing operational efficiency, cost control, sustainability, and accountability across the mining value chain.

As African mining operations face increasing pressure to reduce fuel losses, prevent theft, improve transparency, and meet ESG commitments, VERIDAPT and Orca recognise a shift in industry priorities. Mining today demands precision, accountability, and digital transformation alongside extraction.

The VERIDAPT–Orca partnership combines VERIDAPT’s plug-and-play fuel dispensing, monitoring, and emissions management technology with Orca’s engineered self-bunded fuel storage tanks, remote refuelling systems, and bulk fuel farms. Together, the solution enables accurate measurement, secure dispensing, and compliant fuel storage across mine sites of any size, location, or infrastructure maturity.

Covering diesel, petrol, lubricants, HFO, Jet A1, and AVGAS, the combined offering represents one of the most comprehensive and cost-effective fuel management and theft-prevention solutions available to the African mining industry.

“Fuel is one of the most significant operating costs for mining companies, and African miners cannot afford sub-standard fuel management systems,” said David Thambiratnam, Chief Executive Officer of VERIDAPT. “This partnership combines rugged, site-ready infrastructure with world-class digital intelligence to deliver measurable operational efficiencies and ESG outcomes.”

VERIDAPT has led digital hydrocarbon management for more than 20 years, monitoring over 30 billion litres of hydrocarbons annually across 150+ mining, rail, and industrial operations worldwide. The company supports global leaders including BHP, Rio Tinto, Glencore, Vale, Teck, and Syncrude, helping improve efficiency, mitigate theft and fraud, optimise fuel costs, and reduce risk. VERIDAPT also supports ESG objectives by accurately tracking on-site carbon emissions, currently monitoring more than 80 million tonnes of CO₂ annually.
