Cavotec Supplies Advanced Reel Systems to Moroccan Mining Firm

Cavotec has secured a significant order from TAKRAF India to supply advanced cable and hose reel systems for a major phosphate and sulphur processing company in Morocco. The systems will enhance safety and efficiency in bulk material handling. Delivery is expected by mid-2026, further solidifying Cavotec’s presence in North Africa’s mining sector.

Cavotec, a global engineering group specialising in connection and electrification solutions for ports, mining, and industrial applications, has secured a significant new order from TAKRAF India Pvt. Ltd. The contract involves the supply of advanced cable and hose reel systems for one of Morocco’s largest phosphate and sulphur processing and manufacturing companies.

The order includes seven cable reel systems and six hose reel systems designed to support bulk material handling equipment operating in demanding industrial environments. These systems play a critical role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and uninterrupted supply of power, fluids, and hydraulic media to moving machinery across large operational areas.

Cable and hose reel systems are essential in modern mining and processing operations. They reduce cable wear, minimise safety risks, and improve operational reliability by automatically managing the extension and retraction of power and fluid lines. Cavotec’s solutions are engineered to withstand harsh conditions, including dust, extreme temperatures, and heavy mechanical loads, making them ideal for large-scale mineral processing facilities.

Commenting on the order, Cavotec CEO David Pagels said the agreement strengthens the company’s long-standing relationship with TAKRAF while expanding its installed base at the end customer. He noted that the project further reinforces Cavotec’s position in the growing mining and minerals sector across North Africa, as well as in the global bulk material handling market.

The order was signed in December 2025, with delivery scheduled for mid-2026. Once commissioned, the systems will support improved safety, operational efficiency, and long-term asset performance at the site.

This latest collaboration reflects Cavotec’s ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality, innovative engineering solutions in partnership with leading EPC and equipment suppliers such as TAKRAF. Through continuous innovation and proven reliability, Cavotec continues to support the evolving needs of the global mining and minerals industry.
