Kenya to Host the 11th China Trade Week Alongside the 6th Africa Technology Show, 4th Africa Build Show Kenya and 3rd MEGAWATT Africa

A Global Platform for Trade, Technology, Construction and Energy

The 11th China Trade Week (CTW) Kenya returns to Nairobi from 22–24 July 2026, bringing together manufacturers, technology providers, investors, distributors, buyers, and policymakers from around the world. Organised by MIE Events FZCO, the event will be co-located with the 6th Africa Technology Show (AFTS), the 4th Africa Build Show Kenya (ABS), and the 3rd MEGAWATT Africa, creating one of East Africa’s largest multi-sector B2B and B2G platforms for trade, investment, innovation, construction, and energy.

Now in its 11th edition, China Trade Week Kenya has established itself as one of East Africa’s leading international trade exhibitions, connecting global suppliers with buyers, distributors, investors, and decision-makers across the region.

The previous edition attracted more than 5,000 visitors, over 100 exhibitors from 12 countries, facilitated 1,000+ B2B meetings, and hosted more than 20 conference sessions. Building on this success, the 2026 edition is expected to welcome over 8,000 trade visitors, 200+ exhibiting companies, and participants from more than 20 countries.

The event comes at a time when Kenya continues to strengthen its position as one of Africa’s fastest-growing economies. The country’s GDP (PPP) is projected to reach approximately US$419 billion by 2026, supported by strong investment, infrastructure development, and expanding regional trade.

Key growth drivers include the US$25 billion LAPSSET Corridor project, the US$4.6 billion Northlands City development, KSh 15.1 billion allocated to ICT initiatives, a US$1.8 billion electronics market, and KSh 24.8 billion invested in healthcare infrastructure. These developments continue to create significant opportunities across manufacturing, technology, construction, energy, healthcare, consumer goods, and infrastructure sectors.

“For over a decade, China Trade Week Kenya has connected the world’s manufacturers with one of Africa’s fastest-growing markets, creating one platform where trade, technology, innovation, and investment meet, and where real business gets done. Kenya is not an emerging opportunity; it is a present one.”
